88.1 percent of Canadians own a smartphone, according to Statistics Canada. Nearly half of them check it every half hour at most on average. Now, according to official data, their use of smartphones will be cheaper: customers who joined the mobile package at the end of 2021 paid about 18% less compared to those who joined at the end of 2020.
